Terms of Service

General
  • Venues must be located in areas with stable internet connectivity
  • SCM provides commercial services and bookings are subject to availability
  • Bookings are confirmed on receipt of proof of payment of the non-refundable booking fee
  • Bookings will be confirmed on a first come first serve basis for any given date
  • SCM reserves the right to accept or reject bookings
  • Rates are inclusive of non-refundable booking fees
  • SCM reserves the right to not proceed with services if outstanding balances are not paid in accordance with these terms of service
  • Live streaming captures the event as it happens; flash photography/other crew in shot cannot be avoided
  • No post-production services are offered
  • The stream is immediately available on the SCM YouTube channel, in line with the client’s privacy requirements
  • In the event of network connectivity loss, stream content will be uploaded to the SCM YouTube channel as acquired during the event, within 24 hours
  • The inclusion of audio in the live stream is subject to copyright restrictions related to commercially licensed music. SCM reserves the right to mitigate the risk of channel restrictions as needed
  • Available filming angles at specific locations may be constrained by venue layout beyond the control of SCM
  • Our service footprint includes the KZN coastal belt from Richard's Bay to Port Edward and inland towards Upper Highway
  • Wedding ceremonies at venues in the KZN Midlands are included in our services
  • Travel rates of R4.75/km will apply beyond 40km from Amanzimtoti
Outdoor event refund policy
  • SCM reserves the right to suspend services in the event of inclement weather for safety of crew and equipment (lightning, heavy wind, flash floods)
  • Outdoor events subject to service suspension are eligible for refunds of all amounts received in excess of the non-refundable booking fee, within 7 days after the booking date
  • Should the venue be able to accommodate the event and camera equipment indoors, services will proceed as booked, if agreed to at least 2 hours ahead of starting time, and the refund policy will not apply
Sports events refund policy
  • Rescheduling:
    • 50% of the total fee due if SCM is not available on the new date
    • No refund applies if SCM is available on the new date
  • Cancellation:
    • More than 30 days prior to the event: 100% of the balance due, if paid upfront
    • 14 – 30 days prior to the event: 50% of the balance due, if paid upfront
    • 8 – 14 days prior to the event: 25% of the balance due, if paid upfront
    • 7 days prior to the event: no refunds will be considered
Wedding refund policy
  • Rescheduling:
    • 50% of the total fee due if SCM is not available on the new date
    • No refund applies if SCM is available on the new date
  • Cancellation due to death or terminal illness of either of the couple, or in the event of break-up:
    • All amounts received in excess of the non-refundable booking fee will be refunded within 7 days from notice of cancellation
  • Other cancellations:
    • More than 30 days prior to the event: 100% of the balance due, if paid upfront
    • 14 – 30 days prior to the event: 50% of the balance due, if paid upfront
    • 8 – 14 days prior to the event: 25% of the balance due, if paid upfront
    • 7 days prior to the event: no refunds will be considered

Factors that can affect the quality of acquisition during sports events:

  • Elevation above the field of play
  • Visual barriers such as fences
  • Sufficient distance from the field of play for close-ups of touchline action
